Fishing on the dock with Daddy!!! Sophia loved reeling in the minnows. She also loved fishing the minnows out of the minnow bucket and setting them free!!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for my first fishing pole!

So my brother finally got a couple of days off from being a hunting guide way down south, and got to come home to celebrate Christmas. We got to spend the day with him and his sweet girlfriend Audray. Then later that night we went to Fogo De Chao for dinner to celebrate Christmas and his birthday (2-8).
We had a great time and miss him and Audray very much. We can’t wait til hunting season is over and we get to see them more!
Brrrr! It’s cold out side. We got about 2-3 inches of snow and Sophia just had to go and check it out. I tried to change her out of her pjs, but there was no way she was taking Minnie PJs off. So we put on our boots, hat, jacket and mittens and headed out!
She was sooo thrilled to be outside, can you tell by her smile on her face, it is just priceless. She loves being outside. She talked non-stop about the snow, but she did not want to touch it all, or walk in it. I picked her up and put her down in the snow, but she very quickly got out and told me “no more mommy, just splash water.”
Here she is looking down at her boots, stomping and splashing in the water while we waited for Grandma and Grandpa to come and visit.
Grandma and Grandpa honked the horn when they pulled up and she was so excited to see them. I was glad too, because I was frozen and she just did not want to go inside. Thankfully when they arrived she was ready to go play with Grandma and Grandpa.
On a side note, since it was so cold outside, I wanted to make something yummy and warm. I had talked with my friend Aspen earlier in the week about her Chicken Pot Pie she made, and got the recipe from her to make. Needless to say my first Chicken Pot Pie was super yummy, even Zach and Sophia enjoyed it! YAY!
I also want to thank my friend Yomaida for creating my new background and layout for me! I love it. You also need to check out her photography blog, she does a wonderful job.
Just a few quick photos of Sophia playing in the backyard with Daddy and Minnie. Minnie now goes everywhere with her. Up the slide, down the slide, to the sitters, to the store, and most importantly to bed with her. She is also very into taking her own pictures when we take pictures of her. She has a Princess camera that talks to her when she uses it, except she wont turn it around and use it the correct way, and she gets very mad at you when you try to correct her. She is so strong willed and knows exactly what she wants and when she wants it!!! HA!! She always makes me smile though and that is what matters!
