FIRST STEPS!!

This is a little late, but last Tuesday Sophia took two steps on her own, and then I was able to capture her taking six, yes SIX, more steps on her own on last Wednesday. I took the video while trying to get her to walk to me, so you might have to turn your head to see the footage! She is such a little princess now... one that is MOBILE ON TWO FEET!!

Pumpkin Carving

Well its been awhile I know... too long. This past weekend I got sick with a sinus infection and spent the weekend in bed thanks to a wonderful husband and mother in law who took Sophia on Saturday night. Sunday we went to their house for our annual pumpkin carving! Again I made it through the day since Zach and Grandma Charlie were on baby duty. Monday was a long day, went to work and back to bed... thanks again to my hubby and my parents for watching S! Tuesday I started to feel better, but Sophia was not feeling herself, so we took her to the doctor, but everything checked out, I do think that she is getting her first year molars however! Today was my first day feeling back to my self, but it was spent running around cleaning and doing laundry to get ready for the lake tomorrow... so super excited about the Halloween party this weekend!
I am not writing a whole lot more... the pictures will tell you a great story of Sophia's first annual pumpkin carving!! ENJOY!!

10 months old!

Sophia today you are 10 months old! I can't believe in 2 months you will be 1 year old!

At 10 months you:

  • You wear a size 3 diaper
  • You are wearing 9 months clothes but I'm putting you in 12 months also

  • you eat 3 meals a day, 2 snacks and attempt to take a bottle about 4 times a day
  • you are no longer eating baby food and you eat all table foods
  • you like green beans, carrots, pears, mandarin oranges (your favorite) and almost anything that is on Mommy's plate
  • you have 8 teeth, 4 on top and 4 on the bottom

  • you crawel SUPER fast, you stand up on your own and are so INCREDIBLY close to walking
  • you love to be around people
  • you are into everything, and I mean everything.. good thing we baby proofed!

  • you still sleep all night long, 12 hours, and take two 2 hours naps
  • you smile and laugh all the time
  • you TALK TALK TALK
  • you mostly call everything daada but I am almost 100% sure that you say doggie (dawie) I think we are calling this your first word!
  • you are able to associate words with objects now
  • you make choices and differentiate between objects, especially when you are deciding if you want pears or oranges

  • you are able to tell Mommy and Daddy what you want by pointing at objects and yelling at us or by crawling to an object and yelling at us too!
  • You are still a Moma's girl and I love every minute of it
You are my precious little monkey and I love you more and more everyday

The State Fair of Texas

Saturday we met friends at the State Fair of Texas! We had Fletcher's corn dogs, funnel cake, and chicken fried bacon... which was soooo NOT good! We had a lot of fun! S enjoyed her first corn dog and funnel cake and she loved it!

More please!

Eating it all on her own!

Zach and Jason with the Heisman Trophy

Out cold on the way to the car! She didn't even wake up when I took her out of the stroller and put her in the car! She was such a good girl!

Waiting for the Plumber

Yesterday I stayed home with S since Cathey's kids had the day off and they went to the State Fair of Texas (we plan on going on Saturday). We got to meet my mom and Karen for lunch and just relaxed and a had a great day... then the tub decided to start leaking so I called a plumber and they were supposed to be here today at 7 am... got here at 8:10, looked at the tub, told me we need a new shower head and faucet to fix the problem and he would be back hopefully around 2 to fix it all... so I got to stay home again with S! YAY, but sad about the tub!

Where are they?

AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!! Still not here yet!

Dallas Arboretum

Saturday we met Zach's parents for lunch and headed to the Dallas Arboretum to the pumpkin patch. Sophia had a blast. She loved getting down and exploring! We took a ton of pictures! So this is quite a long post due to all the pictures! Enjoy!

She was playing with this pumpkin making some bizarre faces, when we discovered there was a hole in the side and she did not like the texture!

Getting sleepy, she didn't want to hold the bottle!
