Growing Up So Fast!

Last night my mom and Larry or Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner and to play with Sophia. And to our surprise Sophia played with Grandpa! He loved it and so did she!

Getting her nighttime bottle with Grandma and Grandpa!

Today after work while changing into more comfy clothes, Sophia saw her favorite four legged friend... no not Maverick, Gwen our cat. She followed her into the bathroom, you can see the tip of Gwen's tail as she is making her get away!

Sophia also has been dragging her blankie around with her while she plays! It is the cutest thing ever. I am super excited because she has so many great blankies just waiting for her... I too love blankies!

And as for growing up, tonight when I was giving S her night time bottle in her room in the glider, she discovered sharing her bottle with Mommy. She thought it was the funniest thing ever when I would pretend to drink from it, she did it over and over and belly laughed each time. I love watching her discover new things, she discovers something new everyday and I am loving every minute of being a Mommy!

Catch Up

So its been awhile, I know you have been missing us!! School started, so that has been taking up my days, and posting has been last on the list. S has been going back to stay with Ms. Cathey during the day. She is so wonderful. Just last week she asked me "Does Sophia have a Mammaw?" I said "No she doesn't!" She then asked me, "Can Sophia call me Mammaw? I love her and she is like a grand baby to me." We thought it was the sweetest thing! So now Ms. Cathey will be Mammaw.
She did really well last week back with Cathey, Mammaw. We are so blessed that such a wonderful woman is taking care of our baby.
On another note today was a hard morning for me and S, as I dropped her off this morning she held tightly to my clothes and just cried, I wish that I could have just said nevermind, I will just take her home, but work is a must right now (with hopes that with the next baby I might be able to stay home... HIGH HOPES) I finally just had to peel her off of me and give her to Mammaw and walk out the door. I could hear her crying outside. It was HORRIBLE... as a mom all you want to do is make everything you can OK for your baby. I got in the car, cried and called Zach. I know everyone says it happens to them too, but it was so incredibly hard for me. The thing that gets me through is knowing how loved she is.
And I am loving my students at school, I am working with 1st and 2nd graders this year and I am looking forward to a great year. And at least tomorrow is Wednesday and we have Megan's wedding to look forward to this weekend!!!

Also here is a pic of Sophia's new favorite toy!!

and yes that is a water bottle!!

Cup Cake!

So I thought that this post deserved its own! Friday night after dinner I was giving S a taste of icing off a cup cake when Aunt Roxie decided to slip S the whole cup cake and boy did she enjoy it! She dug right in and got it all over. Thankfully her little friend Presley shares well and she got a bath after wards! I think she will do well on her birthday with birthday cake!

Busy Busy Busy!!

This past week was our last week of summer and being home with my little angel. Thursday we went to Roxie and Jeremy's to swim, Friday we went shopping with Grandma and dinner at Jeremy and Roxie's to see Pooh Bear, and today we went to my cousin's to go swimming and grill out. We had a lot of fun. I am having mixed emotions with going to back to work on Monday. Sad to be leaving my little girl and not being with her all day long, but happy to get back into routines again. I do have some piece of mind knowing that Cathey will be keeping Sophia this year for us. We are truly blessed to not have to put S in day care and that she is so loved there with Cathey and her family. Here are some photos for of the past couple of days.

Hangin with Jordie Man

The past two days my mom and Larry have been watching my cousin Jordan. He will be 8 in about a week and half, starting the third grade, and was such a big help with Sophia! He is so big and grown up! On Tuesday we went to lunch with my mom, Jordan, Zach, S and my friend Lindsey. After lunch my mom and Jordan watched S while Zach and I ran a few errands. Afterwards we headed back to my mom's to have dinner and my cousin Shawn, his fiance Amy, and her little girl Emma came over to eat and play and to meet Sophia. It was really nice watching the big kids play with S. She was very interested in them.
Today Zach and Jordan went to the movies while S and I went to lunch with my friends Julie and Embree. Then Jordan got to come back to the house to hang out and play some more with S. He just loves her so much and is such a good big cousin!

Meeting Parker

Friday night Zach, Sophia and I went over to his friend Chris's house to meet their new little girl Parker Juliette! She was a precious little girl. It seems like everyone is having little girls, at least all of Zach's buddies. Who knows maybe there will be some little boys to come, in the near future!
After the babies went to bed, the big boys played some rock band, their favorite past time, when they get to play it. Here are some photos from the night!

S and I before bedtime!

We toasted to Chris and Valerie and their new addition in sippee cups, we just had to get a picture of this!

Chris... I think he was totally into Rock Band!
