37 weeks tomorrow

We had another doctors appointment this morning. Still not dialated yet, which is a good thing. Sophia's heartbeat was good as well as my blood pressure since I started my medication. He upped the dosage of my medicine since I am still having some cramping to every 6 hours instead of 3 times a day. He also told me that I will not be going back to work. So I will be at home until Sophia decides to grace us with her presence, which I am hoping will be sooner rather than later. On a good note, he did tell us that we could make the trip to the lake house for Thanksgiving. It will be a bit of a break for Zach since I will have my mom there to wait on me as well. :)
I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

Nursery

Well here are the pics of the nursery. It is has finished as it is going to get. I do have her name to put on the wall above her crib, however I am still waiting for PBK to send me the letter S, it is on back order until Dec. 6th. So just imagine her name sitting on the shelf above her crib.

Dresser and glider that I will be spending a lot of time.
On the brown shelf is where Sophia will go once the S arrives :)
Close up of the crib with the beautiful bedding made my Zach's mom, Grandma Charlie.
Maverick hanging out, still trying to figure out why I keep going in the room :)

36 weeks

Well I am 36 weeks today, I can't believe how close it is to meeting our precious little girl. 25 days til December 15th and if you read my previous posts, we might be meeting our little girl sooner than that.
I started taking the medication from my doctor to stop the Braxton Hicks contractions as well as the pre labor contractions. I actually slept for 3 straight hours last night. No cramping, no back pain, and I didn't have to get up to pee for 3 whole hours! It was wonderful. I was thinking the medication would make me feel very jittery, since Dr. Herzog told me that, but I am actually feeling quite relaxed. So keep Sophia and me in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare for her arrival in at the most 25 more days!

another day in bed... dr's appt... and a few more days in bed

Well, I went to the doctor after spending another day in bed today. I am not dialated as of now, but I am having Braxton Hicks contractions for sure and some pre labor contractions. Dr. Herzog did not seem concerned about this at all, which made me feel better. He checked Sophia's heartbeat and it was still steady and strong. So he gave me some medication to make the contractions stop, as well as some more time in bed.... until next Wednesday (when I go back to see him). He said this would give time to get used to the medication, as it is going to make me feel jittery, and then I should be able to head back to work until Sophia comes.

2 days in bed

Well since early Sunday afternoon I have had some lower back pain and some pain in my tail bone. The same from earlier in the pregnancy except this time I am uncomfortable with walking, laying down, and sitting. I have also had some cramping like I am having a really bad period. On top of that Sophia has become very active and is moving around all the time. All of this.... causing me not to be able to get a good night sleep, so in turn I took Monday off of work. I did call and talk to my doctor and nurse and they reassured me that Sophia might be dropping down into position, adn that the pain in my tail bone is Sophia sitting on my nerve. They told me that if anything changes, like I can time the cramping (or what I think are Braxton Hicks contractions) then to call back if not they would see me on Wednesday for my weekly appointment.
I was hoping that resting all day Monday would be beneficial and help the pain go away, well not so much... so then I stayed home again today, but will be up and going to school tomorrow since I have a meeting that has been scheduled for weeks. So please keep me and Sophia in your thoughts and prayers that we get through the day, let alone at least another week and half so that she is 37 weeks before she decides to come.

35 weeks... 32 more days

Today I went to see Dr. Herzog and I have 32 more days til December 15th when he will induce me, that is if Sophia doesn't decide to come early. Everything checked out at with me, good blood pressure and I did not gain an ounce since last Tuesday, which was very exciting. Sophia's heartbeat was good and all my measurements are right where they need to be. I had my first cervical check today and I am not dialated but I am softening which is exactly what is supposed to be happening right now. So over all, it was another great check up. On another note... I am feeling much larger than I did last week. It is getting harder and harder to bend over, pick things up, lay down, get up... um pretty much harder to do everything. And I am definitely not sleeping through the night anymore... bathroom wake up calls about every 45 minutes to hour and half. I suppose I am just getting ready for all my late night feedings!!
I also stopped comparing her to my online sight since she is already estimated to be larger than what the online sight tells me. So I can say I am ready and we are just waiting now to meet our little angel. Our next appointment is Wednesday the 19th.

34 weeks

Well I am 34 weeks today. If you read Tuesday's blog you know that Sophia is near 5 1/2 pounds, but my online website says she should be 4 3/4 pounds and compared to a cantaloupe.
I am a little nervous about her being so big already. I have 6 more weeks to go and if she gains 1/2 a pound each week that means she should gain another 3 pounds putting her at a total of 8 1/2 pounds and.... OMG that is big. Dr. Herzog reassured me that we will just go week by week and keep an eye on her weight and the strain on my body!
But I have to keep reminding myself that she is healthy and growing big and strong... next appointment is next Thursday!

33 weeks 5 days

Today we went to see Dr. Herzog. We had to take a half a day since the appointment was in the early part of the afternoon. Zach and I met for lunch and then came home and relaxed until it was time to go see the doc. Both my mom and Zach's mom came with us. I think they were very excited, seeing as they were both there early and before Zach and I. We went in for the sonogram and both my mom and Zach's mom had huge smiles on their faces when they got to unofficially meet Sophia. She was very, very active during the sonogram. She is still head down and laying on her side. We got to see a view of her face and we saw her precious little nose and mouth. She was making cute little sucking movements with her mouth and again both hands were up around her face. The nurse reassured Zach she was still a girl when she showed us Sophia's lady parts, so yes we are still having a girl. The nurse told us that she is making breathing motions as well, not actually breathing obviously but making the motions which was very good. My amniotic fluid levels were good. Her heartbeat was 136 and she is estimated to weigh about 5.4 pounds. She is huge!!! Overall we have a healthy little girl that we will meet very, very soon. Dr. Herzog decided that if Sophia does not decide to come and meet her mommy and daddy by December 15th that he will induce me on that day!! I can't wait.
After the appointment, Zach, my mom, his mom, and I went to look at the babies in the nursery in the hospital so that they would know where to come to meet their granddaughter. Overall a great day. I go back to the doctor in 9 days, then once a week after that.
